.Posttod.
Compared to the Author LP, in dramatic effect, there is an emerging production dynamo called Posttod. Taking nordic electronic influences and crossing them with the lower portion of the bass spectrum the Swedish duo are spinning a new web that will likely entangle a large number of listeners. Ethereal like the french group AIR and melodic like bristolian Phaeleh, Posttod exhibits transiently continental synths and a patient bassline that deftly weaves their selective use of vocals. One dances from dream to reality and back again after a once-through of Moon. While never entering the dubstep realm, the album is likely spun to attract bass-heads and lovers of Royksopp, M83, Sigur Ros. Several of the tracks could be laced into a set with Ben Frost, Burial, Phaeleh, Von D and the like. Posttod are on the fringe of a vast electronic field and it will be interesting to see who gets tangled in their web. Grab it below and give it a go. Enjoy.
